Each city page identifies its housing source, measure, geography, property type, frequency, and licence beside the chart. Sources differ by market because the pages use the relevant published local housing series.
An observation pairs a published home value with an asset price for the same displayed month, quarter, or year. Periods without both inputs are excluded rather than estimated.
Yes. Housing providers can revise recent or historical values. Each detail page states the source’s revision policy and data-through date, so the latest reading may change after a source update.
You can compare broad direction and scale, but not as if every city used the same housing index. Property definitions, geographic coverage, frequency, and source methodology vary, so each city’s measure definition should travel with the comparison.
No separate consumer-price adjustment is applied. The pages compare the published home-value measure with the selected asset’s observed price, both expressed in the city’s local currency.
